HUA MA received the B.S. degree in physics from the National University of Defense Technology, Changsha, Hunan, China, in 1997, the M.S. degree in optics engineering from Xi’an Electronic and Technology University, Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in physical electronics from Air Force Engineering University, Xi’an, in 2009. He has been with Air Force Engineering University, since 1997. His research interests include the characteristics of photonic crystals and the design of metamaterials.
